Terms and Conditions for booking holidays at Wyncliffe Hideaway Shepherd’s Hut can be found below. Please ensure you read them carefully.
Cancellations/Insurance
All bookings prevented by coronavirus restrictions (lockdowns) will be refunded if we are closed or rescheduled this does not relate to guests having to self isolate. We advise guests to take appropriate travel insurance.
Once a booking is confirmed, i.e. the deposit has been paid and the booking accepted, the hirer is responsible for the total cost of the holiday as shown on the invoice. We therefore strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance with your insurance broker. In the event of severe weather or a pandemic, Wyncliffe Hideaway Shepherd’s Hut reserves the right to reschedule a booking to another date of equivalent value and convenient with the hirer.
Terms and Conditions
To secure your booking a non-refundable deposit of £100 per Shepherds Hut per holiday is required.
For bookings made less than 6 weeks in advance, the total amount is payable on booking.
In the event of cancellation
If the cancellation is more than six weeks before arrival and the balance has not been paid, the deposit will not be refunded. Alternatively the deposit can be off-set against a holiday to be taken at a different date later in the year, subject to availability and a £50 handling charge.
If the cancellation is more than six weeks before arrival and the balance has been paid then the total cost of the holiday will be refunded, less the deposit and a handling charge of £50, ONLY if the booking is able to be re-let. If the booking cannot be re-let the cost will be refunded less the deposit and a £75 handling charge Alternatively the cost of the holiday can be off-set against a holiday to be taken at a different date, subject to availability and a handling charge of £50.00, later in the year.
If the cancellation is less than six weeks before arrival and the balance has not been paid the whole of the deposit is non-refundable, nor can it be offset against another date later in the year, except in exceptional circumstances and by arrangement with the owners.
If the cancellation is less than six weeks before arrival and the balance has been paid then the cost will not be refunded unless the booking can be re-let and then 50% will be refunded, nor can it be offset against another date later in the year, nor can it be rolled over to the following year, except in exceptional circumstances and by arrangement with the owners.
Whilst every effort will be made to avoid them, booking errors made by Wyncliffe Hideaway Shepherd’s Hut will not in any circumstances be compensated for unless there is less than 6 weeks until the booking dates commence. If there is less than 6 weeks until the booking date commences Wyncliffe Hideaway Shepherd’s Hut’s liability will be limited to the return in full of any monies paid.
Liabilities
Please remember you are staying in a woodland camping environment with live animals and other hazards. Some of the camp equipment can be dangerous if misused. Wyncliffe Hideaway Shepherd’s Hut will not be responsible to you at all, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, restitution or otherwise for any injury, death, damage or direct, indirect or consequential loss (all three of which terms include without limitation pure monetary loss, loss of profits, loss of business or revenue, depletion of goodwill, lost expectation, loss of savings, lost data and similar loss) however caused arising from or in connection with the use of the facilities including any computer virus.
Any guests complaints must be registered within 24hrs of occurring.
We advise that any guests with limited mobility contact us prior to booking.
Number of Guests per Property
The maximum number of guests permitted in each Shepherds Hut must not exceed the number stated on the booking form. The proprietor reserves the right to decline accommodation and to order any unauthorised person off the premises.
Breakages
Any damage or breakages which may occur must be paid for. Accidental damages or breakages of a minor nature will not normally be charged.
Complaints
Any complaints must be made known to the proprietor immediately. No complaints will be entertained at the end of the hiring period or after the hirer has departed. Wyncliffe Hideaway Shepherd’s Hut is relieved from liability should the accommodation or other facilities be unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control.
Pets
No pets are allowed on site.
Day Visitors
Day visitors are welcome, although the facilities are for the sole use of the residents.
Bicycles
Guests bringing their own bicycles should ensure they are locked, please bring locks with you. The proprietor cannot be held responsible for damage or theft to bicycles left on the property. Bicycles are NOT permitted within the properties.
Arrival and Departure
Bookings are from 3pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure. Timing on winter bookings and short breaks is flexible subject to owners approval.
Guests are asked to leave their accommodation clean and tidy when vacating. Guests are asked to give consideration to others and not to cause nuisance or annoyance. The owner reserves the right to gain access with prior notice for the purpose of maintenance and inspection if it is necessary.
WIFI
We are not able to guarantee the WIFI will be working, although it is rare that it does not work.
ALL PROPERTIES AT THE LOCATION ARE NON SMOKING
DECLARATION
I have read the booking conditions and agree on behalf of all members of my party to abide by those conditions. I understand the balance must be paid at least 42 days before the holiday is due to start. I am over 18 years of age.
